A delicious and fun snack for kids to make!
We tried these apple slices as a kid’s activity this past season at Harvest Fest! At Harvest Fest, we kept it simple and had white icing, some food dye, and sprinkles, but this is much more fun when kids have a few more options. We put together a list of some spreads and toppings we thought would be absolutely scrumptious. Feel free to add and subtract according to your kids likes and dislikes and the setting in which you will be making this snack!
Important note: these are not only for kids, our staff and volunteers loved these too!
1 lemon cut in wedges (optional)
Mini Chocolate Chips
Wash the apples
Slice into rings
If prepping the apples for an activity at an event/party, then rub a lemon wedge onto the rings in order to prevent browning
Top with your favorite spreads and toppings.
Our Favorite combos include:
Icing and blueberries
Nut butter, chocolate chips, and coconut
Nut butter and raisins
Cream Cheese, sprinkles, and strawberries
Yogurt, Granola, and strawberries
