About the Hillsboro Tuesday Marketplace

The Hillsboro Tuesday Marketplace is a weekly summer outdoor festival and farmers' market in Historic Downtown Hillsboro presented for the community by volunteers and sponsors.

A private nonprofit organization, the Hillsboro Tuesday Marketplace provides a free community gathering place featuring some of the Northwest's best bands and musical entertainment, fresh locally grown produce, flowers and nursery plants, art from local artists, crafts produced by regional artisans, foods from local restaurateurs, a classic car display, information from community organizations, and educational and health programs. It is governed by a board of directors.

The marketplace originated in 1998 as a way to bring people to Historic Downtown Hillsboro and to provide local farmers and crafters another market venue for selling their goods. The event was embraced by the community, and has become a favorite summertime tradition for people of all ages and all walks of life.

This community event takes place every Tuesday evening from mid-June through August from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

Meet Me Where?

The Marketplace fills three city blocks in Historic Downtown Hillsboro that are closed to auto traffic (Main Street from First to Third Avenues, and Second Avenue between Main and Lincoln Streets). Click here for map and directions.

What Will You Find and Experience?

Live Music: Popular Northwest musicians perform rock, jazz, blues and other musical genres at the Main Stage on the lawn of the historic Washington County Courthouse. Check the entertainment schedule for a complete lineup.

Fresh Farm Produce: Local farmers carry fresh locally-grown produce, flowers and nursery plants. All produce and plant products are 100% grown by the farm vendor.

Arts and Crafts: The Tuesday Marketplace features quality arts and crafts designed and produced by regional artisans. A rotating weekly "featured artist" showcases local talent.

Foods: Local restaurateurs offer a wide selection of ethnic foods, ice cream, desserts and drinks including local wine and microbrews. Salmon and fresh seafoods are also available seasonally.

Kid's Area: Sponsored by Let's Play Toys, the Kid's Zone offers activities to entertain young market-goers, from arts and crafts to games and more.

Community Organizations: Local non-profit and community groups are present to share information on their organizations and programs.

Classic Cars: At each week's Classic Car Showcase, we invite car or motorcycle clubs to display their classic vehicles. Visitors love to stroll down rows of lovingly restored classics.

Community Health Corner: This program is presented by Tuality Community Hospital and features weekly exhibits to help raise awareness of various health-related issues.
